A plain-English summary of what data this site handles , written to be read, not skimmed past.

01 The policy

What I collect

  • Anonymous analytics via Plausible , no cookies, no personal data, no cross-site tracking.
  • Form submissions , name, email, company, project type, budget band and message. Sent to my inbox and (where relevant) to Cal.com when a booking follows.
  • Booking data via Cal.com , name, email and the time you’ve scheduled.
  • Cookies , none directly. Cal.com may set its own cookies on the embedded scheduler page; that’s covered by their privacy policy.

Why I collect it

To reply to you, to schedule calls, and to understand which pages are getting read. That’s the whole list. No marketing automations, no remarketing pixels, no profile-building.

Lawful basis (UK GDPR)

  • Legitimate interest , for anonymous analytics. Plausible doesn’t identify you, so the impact on your privacy is negligible.
  • Consent , for form submissions and bookings. By choosing to fill in the form or pick a slot, you’re asking me to handle your details for that specific purpose.

Retention

Form submissions are retained for twelve months in my email and project tools (Linear, Notion). After that, they’re deleted unless they’re part of an active project record.

Booking data is retained per Cal.com’s terms. If a booking turns into a project, the relevant details move into the project record.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict the processing of your data. Email hello@dantemple.co.uk to request any of these , I’ll action within one month, usually much sooner.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection.

Sharing

I don’t share your data with anyone except the third-party tools listed below, all of which are GDPR-compliant. No data brokers, no advertising platforms, no sale of contact lists , ever.

Third parties

  • Plausible , analytics, EU-hosted.
  • Cal.com , scheduling, US/EU regions.
  • BetterStack , uptime monitoring, EU.
  • Sentry , error monitoring, EU.

Each has its own privacy policy , follow the link from their site if you want the detail.

Updates to this policy

If this policy changes , new tool, new data type, new retention period , the “last updated” date at the top will reflect that. Material changes get a note in the next reply to anyone with active correspondence.
